I hope you enjoy these spring photos!
Sweets and more sweets. All kids want these days is, sugar. You try to give a kid a sugar free snack and they know. I have some delicious granola bars with honey as the sweetener. Soon enough your kids will be begging for these Gratifying Granola Bars!
You will also need, a big bowl, a small pot, a spoon, a pan with parchment paper and measuring cups.
Add your oats, rice crisp cereal, dried cranberries, cinnamon, salt, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds to your bowl. Stir them together until combined.
In your small pot, add in the peanut and honey. Place it on medium heat and slowly stir it together. Once it is completely combined, take it off the heat and add in the vanilla. Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and stir well.
Pour the final mixture into the pan and flatten. Push it down as flat as you can and pop it into the fridge for an hour. Take out and cut with a sharp knife. Feel free to keep them in the fridge for longer if you feel the need to.
This is what the final product looks like:
I hope you enjoy these Gratifying Granola Bars as much as I did!
I would like to say a big thanks to all of the wonderful WordPress uses that have started following my blog. I can not tell you how much I appreciate this! Along with all of the other bloggers who have followed me, is my family. They have been so supportive and followed my blog right away so, thank you! I never thought that other bloggers would be following my blog and I am looking at this as an opportunity! Every time someone follows my blog, I feel the urge to keep on blogging!
I would like to apologize that I have not been blogging as much as usual. I was on a family Vacation!
I am so so excited to be in Victoria! The journey here was absolutely beautiful. I looked out the ferry window and, it was breathtaking. The shimmering water with the sun reflecting off it. The whimsical trees gently swaying in the light breeze. Everything looked like it was a painting, especially the trees. I wanted to look at this view forever but, it just keeps on getting better. My excitement is quickly building! Oh my gosh, I am just so excited!
Day One Monday:
I woke up to the brightness peering in from behind the curtains. I made a small, yet yummy breakfast of oat’s with fresh berries, and got ready for the day. My family and I walked to Starbucks to get a bigger meal for a long day of activities. We gobbled up some breakfast sandwiches and started on our way. The wind was strong. We walked to Miniature World and saw so many amazing things! I don’t want to give too much away in case you go to Miniature World one day! All I can say is that you will see lots of things about the past, which was so cool to experience. We then went shopping and I got a scrumptious smoothie! We finally went out for dinner and dessert. I had a really filling quesadilla and a warm brownie that my family shared.
Day Two Tuesday:
On Tuesday morning we went to a Dutch breakfast diner and bakery. It was exactly what you would expect. Sliding into a red booth and choosing a breakfast. As my waffles and fruit arrived, I could smell the sweet syrup. We walked to China Town. It turns out that the China Town we were at was Canada’s oldest China Town! Have you ever heard of a Water Taxi? I got to go on one! We took a water taxi to Fishermen’ s Wharf. As the turquoise water slapped against the house boats, the dock rocked from side to side. I snapped some photos of the beautiful cherry blossom trees as we walked back to our hotel. After a quick swim in the pool we headed to an escape room.
Day Three Wednesday:
We woke up earlier to make sure we would have time to pack. We made some breakfast, packed and checked out of our hotel. We went shopping for a little bit and then drove for a long time. We had to stop for gas so me and my sister jumped a fence to go get ice cream! We waited in line, grabbed our ice cream and bolted. Hopping the fence and jumping in the car was an adventure in itself. We drove for a hour and finally got on a ferry. From then on we were traveling home!
